i was i bed about 12 but couldnt sleep so got up and watched some tv down stairs not long after that the chair i was sitting in shook and the door rattled.was slightly scary as i couldnt find any explanation for it

I'm in Wigan, It woke me up, and I absolutely cacked myself, having never experienced anythin like it in my whole life, I never thought a tremor would scare me, but I didn't get back to sleep for a couple of hours and my heart was pounding at the slightest noise aftrwards

The ground moved! the thing u rely on to be there when u are drunk and incapable, and there it was moving everything!

Just think though if Britain had a proper earthquake then we'd be all over the place and wouldnt know what to do!

I was in bed going to sleep when the whole house began to shake. At first thought I had wired something up wrong and it was about to explode but I turned the radio on (TalkSport) and it was full of people talking about it, so I knew it wasn't my dodgy wiring.

Obviously I went to check the cars were ok on the drive............. thankfully seem fine :)

Yep i felt it too, it woke me up i thought it was a weird dream but got up this morning a saw it on the news.

I live not far from Lincoln & I thought the flat was going to fall apart brand new build 1yr old.. I was awake watchin late night poker ;) quite exciting just glad nothing fell off the roof onto the car...lol

loud crashing noise, bed shook, wardrobes rattling... thought a car had hit the house at first, but after looking outside other neighbours were also up and about wondering what had happened..

went on t'interweb with me phone, and found breaking news about it all...

Slept through the last one in 2002..
