at 20 i got a rover 600 turbo diesel, lasted 1 year then i changed it for the IS200 and never looked back.

As for my first vehicle, it was a Gilera runner 125 followed by a 180cc conversion which lasted 600miles and then i bought a Suzuki SV650s at 19 which got a lot of changes and modifications.

i'm 25 and i've only owned two cars (late starter):

2000- was given a B reg Ford Escort (MK3) 1.3 Ghia for my 21st- was still a student back then (got written off within 6 months, a Volvo hit me from behind).

2003- bought a Lexus IS200SE (Astral Black) with 40K on the clock. Not bad eh since I left uni in 2002 and i just started my first proper job after leaving uni (all my mates were well pi*ssed off since they all bought fords/vauxhalls/fiats etc and was the odd one out with a Lexus!)

My first car was Suzuki swift 993 cc GL, blue colour 4 door, I loved it during fuel crisis, I got it for £550 M reg and was written off when a rover hit me from the back and got £650 for it. I was lucky because I had a month worth of road tax and MOT and I was planning to send the car to the scrap yard. :D

my first was a white D reg RS cossie when i was 18 paid an excessive amount to get it insured and run it was nervous every time i left it anywhere but it went like stink and i liked it at the time. Paid for it in the long run though as it seriously effected the health of my bank balance but we live and learn

Red 1.1 Mk2 Escort van (ASN 685N), shag pile carpet in the back, 2 x 6" speakers in custom made panels made of hardboard and covered in mock leather, wired into the AM radio (mono), no 8 track couldn't afford one

Front had a custom made centre console made of, yes you guessed, hardboard covered in mock leather housing a Smiths analogue clock (luxury) and thought it was the nads. Oh forgot about the RS Mexico steel wheels :D

Back drivers seat mounts went through the floor going down the motorway but managed to squeeze another 6 months out of it till one of the McPhearson struts went through the inner wing and the front end was then held up by the bonnet catch :crying: Off to the scrappies it went :crybaby:

white ford fiesta 1.1 w reg.

thrashed the poor thing to absolute bug*ery.

some :tsktsk: smashed the drivers window one night, so ended up driving it around for 6 months with a perspex sheet "borrowed" from Texas Homecare, having to hold it in place with one hand to stop it falling into the door space :duh:

Did a lot of driving from Oxford to Bham and i remember my hand gettting virtually frostbitten trying to keep it in place on the mway :D

Finally blew the engine so hard that the bonnet flipped up and whacked the windscreen/roof, bits flew out the bottom and i gave the guy behind a frickin heartattack. I couldn`t afford oil at the time  , seriously.

Then a sierra---blew the engine

then a corsa---engine caught fire

then a new mondeo-----blew the engine

then a lexus----behave..........

You and engines sure don't mix! :P :P

My first car was a 1.0L H Reg Toyota Starlet. Hated it with its manual choke and leaking oil!! Was good on petrol mind! :D

I got that just before I started uni. By the end of my second year I had my second car....Mazda 323F 1.5i! :D I thought it was a lightening quick and so sportly! (remember I had just come from a Starlet  ) It was a great car, never had a days trouble with it. Then in 2004 after lots of saving up I got the Lex.
