Due to the problems we've recently had, my original post and your answers have been lost.

Just to recap, as a Club we're in a great position to raise money for a worthy cause. The Committee has kindly suggested that £1 of all Gold membership fees and £2 of all re-subscriptions be donated to our nominated charity. Your views will also be appreciated on other fund raising ideas. The nominated charity will be supported by the Club from January 2004 - January 2005 and after that period another charity will be nominated.

So all that is left to do is to nominate a charity, please post yours here.

Mine are:

Ben - Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund

CLIC - Challenging Cancer & Leukemia in Childhood

Thanks,

Claire

Cancer Research UK still get's my vote.

The world has to rid this terrible disease and provide support to families who have sufferred tragic loss. I can't begin to imagine how terrible it must be to tell a young child they've lost their mum or dad.

I don't know what it's called or whether there is a charity for it...

But how about a disability charity to get a specially adapted lexus for a lucky person to drive it. Or is this too individual?

I remember where I last worked there was a guy who was either rich or lucly enough to have a specially adapted BMW 330ci cabriolet.

I would be happy to donate to whatever Charity is decided, we are after all so lucky to be in the situations we are in, our biggest problems seem to be what and how to improve our cars !.....sad if you think about it.

Sorry about being so profound.

Personally i would vote for one of the following:

British heart foundation (lost a friend to a heart condition)

Alzheimers society (lost a relative to it)

Cancer reasearch (lost another friend to it)

Any of these three would get my vote, but the BHF is my priority charity.
