Proud to receive my NX today. Paperworks was smooth. So far enjoying the drive from Cambridge.

Had the Invidia fitted yesterday and it looks great. I’m so glad I decided to paint the rear face of the mufflers black. Looks and feels OEM but sounds so much better, as it always should have 👌🏼

Given our other car is an out of warranty Tesla, and a wasp got trapped in my helmet when going to work on my pedal bike yesterday.....been concerned about the 12V battery on our IS300H I have to confess is very very low down on the list of 'worries' in life :D.

Thought id do a little post about this as I haven't seen much mention of it. I found recently that Roose Motorsport (English manufacturer of silicon hoses for motorsport) make (to order) silicone intake elbows for the ISF and so ordered one, as I had wanted a new elbow for a while for the noise/coolness/etc and at £130 to the door it was much cheaper than a US import. They come in 10+ colours with the option of the company logo but I went with unbranded and black because I'm boring, I also ordered the optional stainless hose clips (You can use the factory ones if you prefer). Results: Looks: It looks cooler than stock, admittedly it's no burnt titanium pipe but then it is 1/4 the price of one 😛 Sounds: It sounds cooler than the muffled/resonated stock elbow, this is what I wanted. Performance: The car feels to be pulling stronger but I'm fairly sure that's just a placebo from the cooler sound haha (I have a TOMs panel filter so that plus an upgraded intake elbow should add a couple of HP, but on a 400+ HP car it won't be enough to actually feel). Fitment/Installation: Everything fits well, I have one arm and it's on the car without personal injury so I guess that's top marks. Spot weld and VSC recalls completed at dealer today. Thankfully the spot weld problem not affecting my car. All done in about an hour whilst I enjoyed coffee and biscuits in the Lexus lounge. Brilliant service as always -that's why we buy a Lexus! Also got a full safety check on the car and a quarter tank of fuel with the dealers compliments.

Before buying ours, the longest we usually kept a car was 10 months. Went through a lot of V8s before picking up this one. Had it over three years now. Look at the gloss he’s got in that paint. Superb. Not looking to change any time soon.

Not posted on here for years... Literally. Still loving the F, can't think of a reason to change it and have too much money (and emotion) sunk in it now with all the mods (purists look away now).... Working on interior look and feel at the minute....

Morning all, Some of the old guard on here may remember that I arranged an F Meet almost 4 years ago now in the Peak District only to be unable to go at the last minute when my son arrived 7 weeks premature! Now that the tearaway is approaching his fourth birthday I can get a day pass a little easier so was thinking about arranging another one day or two day excursion for any F Drivers and/or associated F Fans? Any interest in this? The UK record stands at about 20 Fs in one place at one time. Could we beat that now? Post your interest levels below.

@Womble72 any chance you still have your old knackered headers? Did I read that you replaced them with GSF units recently to stop the ticking noise? I to have the phantom tick, as does @Twellsie and we need a set of original ISF units to template some UK made catless versions from. @Twellsie knows a guy that can do them. Could end up being a group buy but even in ones and twos will certainly be cheaper than PPE plus ridiculous shipping and import tax from the states. Let me know mate.

Well I've had a surprise phone call from Lexus Stockport about my cars next service and MOT (not due till mid August). He pointed out I'm on a service plan and this next service is the last one of the plan (I got a 3 year plan). He also mentioned that because of the age of the car (07 plate) and that I'm an existing service plan customer that I can continue/extend the plan. So for another 3 year plan consisting of 2 major and 1 minor 30x £29 which I'm happy with, including 3x MOT. Now then I did ask if this extension can be got by fellow Lexus Owners? He couldn't answer for other areas of the country but for those who use Stockport or Bolton you can. Stockport and Bolton are in the RRG group and it's a RRG thing with the service plans. So if you're interested in an extension of your existing plan and you're in the Greater Manchester area then ho for it. If you're anywhere else and use a RRG group Lexus dealer it would be worth asking them. I don't know of getting a new plan from scratch but if one doesn't ask then one doesn't get as the saying goes.

NX Owners in the US and Canada have been receiving recall notices for a potential Spot Weld issue on the front Shock Absorbers. There is a rumour that it is only January Production models (which mine is) but this is not confirmed yet. You can enter your Reg here: https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ The dealers have only been informed by Lexus this morning so do not have full details yet of what is involved. It is a potentially serious fault so I am hoping A that the inspection determines all our welds are there, or B if some are missing that they can just spot weld them in situ at the dealer. I don’t want to think about C…….

Yep, my car was showing in the app within a couple of days of ordering. I did nothing other than log in to the app. I already had a My Lexus account from a previous purchase, not sure it that helped. It was the first time of using the Lexus Link app.

Depending how bad the leather is you could try a leather renovation kit.

went for a look, car drove great, minor bodywork flaws, some not at all representative of a 31k mile car, has been in a scrape as the back bumper has been painted poorly and has all started to chip off, and it was reported in prevoius maintenance that the parking sensors were painted over, the chap took offence to me wanting to negotiate and called me a time waster, and told me his job was to collect cars and store them (weird) ah well, the search continues, i'm not heading up to geordie place for the bronze one as its not the colour I want, i'm gonna hold out for a blue one instead, but i'll be avoiding Stellar/Black Stallion going forward

There’s oil in shock absorbers and when the seal on the shaft is worn it lets oil out and means the dampening affect is hindered. LS430 shocks are an air bellow and standard hydraulic shaft in one.

Arnotts in America are around £450. I need to make some American friends 😌 re. The Chinese stuff being scrap, I’m saying this because every listing on eBay for the Chinese struts is from a seller with very poor feedback scores. Lots of sellers saying either the part didn’t fit or it didn’t last long. If anyones tried them and had a good experience I’d be open to giving them a go.

That's fine, so long as you understand the risks. When/if mine go I will probably try the Chinese ones as my experiences of Chinese manufacturing have all been good. I keep hearing people spouting about Chinese stuff being crap, and some of it is, but most of it isn't. I can honestly say that I have bought more British made stuff that was crap than I have Chinese stuff. Yes, I do get that supporting local stuff is good and vilifying the "evil" Chinese is our national pass time. I also remember Japanese stuff being slated as cheap crap, yet here we are discussing quality Japanese cars.

For a good clean, your best bet would be to find a neighbour with a carpet cleaning machine and borrow that. Otherwise there are spray on carpet cleaners that are OK and also car mat specific cleaners. Personally, I jet wash mine, then hand scrub with Fairy liquid solution, and finally jet wash again before hanging them on the line to dry. That'll shift anything except for stains. Don't get too close with the jet wash as the pressure will damage the carpet.

Great choice of colour. If I were to buy again, it will be Deep Blue and one of the beige/sand interior. The reason for favouring Deep Blue is that it matches up with the blue Lexus logo on the grille 🙂 and makes it look very consistent. Are there any drive train upgrades coming for 2023 ? I was expecting a more powerful hybrid engine by 2023. --E

That caliper shouldn't move like that unless something is very wrong. Personally I'd not drive the car like that until problem solved. The only time I've ever experienced that caliper action was because the brake pads were so worn so check them out. Possibly the mounting bolts are loose. The front calipers don't have the same slide pin issue the rear ones have but definitely take the calipers off and service the pins (get new shims first)

It is accepted that ( like some other cars) the calipers should be given some attention periodically ( not on any Lexus service schedule though!) to maintain them in good working order ( at least every time brake friction is renewed) I would suggest that you go in and check all slide pins are still serviceable and that pads are discs are wearing evenly and give it all a good lubing, something that Should be done every year in my eyes to stave off having to replace calipers. As I mentioned above servicing of calipers is not something Lexus includes in their Schedule but they will fit new ones when they fail through lack of maintenance🙄

only of use paying that sort of money if you're going to " save " the car for high days and holidays . short very very careful trips to totally preserve the miles and any exorbitant value you think the car is worth I can never understand why one would want to buy a fantastic driving car to just leave it in the garage ....... life's too short .. unless you're rich beyond whatever and just want to look at the car ....... £5k tops remind me please when someone finds out what it's sold for ! Insurance is so fickle that it's basically impossible to compare. It seems to change with the weather or what colour of socks you're wearing, but one thing I can say is that it shouldn't be anywhere mear as high as that, unless your area of Greater London has something to do with it. Mine was about £465 three months ago with full, protected NCB etc., etc.

There is one motor for each seat, at least on my BMW but it does not have lumber adjustment so could make a difference with RX). The one motor operates the different actions on my Beemer, just as one motor does in a washing machine. This video may give you some idea of what's under the seat and how to access it, although it's for the purpose of replacing seat covers. The fact that yours clicks suggest the movements is obstructed, even though you have checked this as well as you can. Sorry can't help further.

My car 450H is now in build stage.... Finally and estimate is early September now.... More waiting but at least progress to build!

For two years, I had planned ordering a new Macan GTS. A lot of money at 75k for my chosen spec, and with a year wait, I couldn't quite take the plunge. 2 months ago I hadn't even heard of the LC 500. I am still not sure how I got to hear of it. Perhaps a youtube video. Anyway to cut to the chase, having test drove a hard and soft top version, and with residuals so high and so limited availability of used convertibles, I have now taken the plunge and ordered a new convertible. The Regatta version, in deep blue with the white interior with blue accents, and blue roof, similar to the previous limited edition launch model, but in the standard Lexus metallic deep blue. This car makes the Macan look very conventional. Considerably more than I intended spending, but you can't take it with you. So excited, but now a one year wait.....

Gently positioning a yellow duster behind the bottom of the mirror glass and out of the lower sides then giving it a firm tug normally releases the bottom clips and spreads the stress. Lifting the glass up and towards you will unhook the top fastenings and allow the glass to come out. Putting a blanket or some cushions below the mirror provides additional safety but never had one just fly out.

I can resonate. I had incorrect spacing on my plate for a few years and same experience with airport parking. Didn’t recognise me.

I have the legally allowed Japanese style plates on mine to fit the holders so there are two rows of letters and numbers. Pre booked in at the airport car but the ANPR camera didn’t recognise my plate so had to press the help button. Just wondered if this would be the same for all these cameras and the speed cameras not that I’m planning to avoid parking fees or do 50 in a 30.

Hi all, I haven’t posted up much but picked up my ISF last August. Absolutely loving it and still completely stock, previous owner had it for 9 years and really took great care of it. Id owned a 08 Grey ISF for 5 years previously and with the MY11 upgrades its great to feel the subtle but significant differences. All the best Karl
